Add Moderating¶
Carry out the following steps to add Moderating to a Project:
- Add a new Reviewing Type with
ReviewMode = Moderation - Add a new Review Type linked to the new Reviewing Type.
- Configure the Review Type settings.
- Add an Assignment Rule so the Moderators can be allocated to submissions.
- Configure the Assignment Rule settings.
- Change the Moderating Settings.
1. Add a new Reviewing Type¶
Add a new Reviewing Type to the Project using the following properites:

| Reviewer Data Definition | If your moderators store the same data as a normal Reviewer then select choose their data definition. If you need to store different data then create a New Data Definition. |

| Review Plural Label | Allocations |
| Review Mode | Moderation |

The values in this table are following Smart Conventions but any values can be entered.
Warning
You must choose a Review Mode of Moderation otherwise you will add a new Reviewing Type for a normal Reviewer.
2. Add a new Review Type¶
Add a new Review Type to the Project using the following properties:

| Review Data Definition | Choose the Data Definition of an existing Review Type or add a new one. |
| Reviewing Type | Choose the Reviewing Type added in the Previous Step. |

3. Configure Review Type¶
Configure the Settings for the new Review Type.
4. Add Assignment Rule¶
Add an Assignment Rule using the following properties:

| Submission Type | The Submission Type of the Submissions that the Moderators will be allocated to. |
| Review Type | The Review Type created in the step above. |
Note
You can create more than one Assignment Rule if Moderators need to be assigned to more than one type of submission.
5. Configure Assignment Rule¶
Configure the settings for the new Assignment Rule.
6. Change Moderating Settings¶
Change the Moderating Settings to required behaviour.
