Assignment¶

Assignment is the process where a Reviewer is given a Submission to review/grade/score.

During the process, a Review is created that the Reviewer will be able to edit in order to grade and comment on a Submission.

Each project can contain a number of Review Types and Submission Types.

Assignment can be done manually by and Administrator or Moderator OR it can be done automatically by the System.

Assignment Rules control which types of Review can be created for which types of Submission. They also control the rules for System Assignment.

Each Submission can only be assigned to a Reviewer once per Review Type.

System Assignment¶

The Smart software can run the Assignment process automatically without having to select and choose the submissions and reviewers to assign.

System Assignment uses the Assignment Rule Settings to determine which submissions should be assigned to which reviewers.
